I am a private citizen residing in Westland, Michigan. Currently, I am involved in a private arbitration case and have been so involved for the last five months. During the meetings with the lawyers on the other side, we received direct threats that they would use the FBI against me to get me to drop the arbitration case. They claimed that they had evidence of computer intrusion and were working with the FBI. I refused to drop the case and, two days after the hearings began, my home was raided by the FBI and all of my computers where seized in what is being called an "investigation at this time." The attorney on the other side is claiming that they control what the FBI can do to me and will use that control against me and to my extreme legal disadvantage, unless I drop my arbitration case against my former partner. My attorney has explained to me that the attorney for my partner is very well connected and has the ability to influence people in the government to pursue me at any cost. I have contacted a criminal attorney and he is currently representing me in this matter, but he has stated that he has never seen the government react in this manner, especially in a civil case.
