ISLAM IS NOT NON-VIOLENT
By Ray Thomas
That's the myth the Mullahs want to present to the world. They're trying to claim that the terrorists go way beyond the teachings of the Koran. They're lying. You have only to read the Koran to see that. Serge Trifkovik wrote an excellent book on this subject, after studying the Koran carefully. Its name is The Sword of the Prophet, $16.95 and available from the Conservative Book Club.
"Since the attacks of September 11, 2001, dozens of books have been rushed to market purporting to 'explain' the religion in whose name the terrorists attacked. Most of them strike a common theme: 'true' Islam--as opposed to the 'fundamentalist' variety of the hijackers--is a 'religion of peace' that promotes charity, tolerance, freedom, and culture no less than 'true' Christianity." Such a viewpoint blinds us to the true nature of Islam, in whose "Bible" are found exhortations to do many things.
First, Islam wants to discredit Christianity--and any other religion that is not Islam--and applies the label "infidel" to all who are not believing Islamics. Its very founder, Mohammed, rose to power through bloody conflict. Islam sanctions theft, deceit, lust, and murder. It practices cruel mistreatment of women and has a commitment to global conquest by any means necessary.
Muhammad was a pedophile and had 25 wives. One was only 6 when they married, but he waited until she was 9 to have sex with her. He was 54 at the time. At least 27 people were murdered at his orders. "The Koran explicitly sanctions pillage, looting, ransom, and the rape of captive women as an incentive to join in jihad, or "holy war."
A man can have up to four wives at any time, but has only to say "I divorce thee" three times to get rid of one so he can take another. There doesn't seem to be any minimum age, as witness Mohammed's marrying a 6-year-old. He allowed "temporary marriages" for three nights or more, so soldiers in the field could "marry" prostitutes.
The Koran approves of slave-owning by purchasing them as bounty of war. Mohammed had dozens. In Islam, the definition of what is "right" or "just" is not fixed (objective), but changeable (subjective) by divine decree, enabling the most heinous sins and crimes to be declared "the will of Allah.
Remember the promise of Islam for those who die fighting infidels? It appears that it's not only "virgins," as we would envision them. The promise includes not only female virgins, but young boys, as well.
Trifkovik wrote: "As Muhammad progressed from visionary and teacher to warlord and ruler, his style and message became more depraved and intolerant. It is these later 'revelations' that are considered definitive by Islamic authorities when they conflict with earlier ones often cited for Western consumption." Just as there are two versions of Christianity in the Bible, the Old Testament version and the New Testament version, one is violent ("an eye for an eye") and the other peace-loving ("turn the other cheek"), but, while we use the "peaceful one," they use the violent one.
Many people condemn Christianity for the Crusades, but the Crusades were a belated military response to three centuries of Muslim aggression against Christian lands and peoples. Islam sees two kinds of people only: Islamics and infidels. The "House of Islam" (where Islam rules) and the "House of War" (where it doesn't). According to Islam, the two are permanently at war; there may be temporary truces, but peace will come only when Islam rules the entire world.
According to Trifkovik, "When Muslims are in a minority community, the Koran permits them to adopt a peaceful attitude to deceive their neighbors until they feel strong enough to dispense with the pretense. This happened in India, and then they perpetrated massacres there which are unparalleled in history, bigger in sheer numbers than the Holocaust. Muslim persecution of Christians has accounted for millions of deaths and suffering over 13 centuries--and continues today.
There is a myth of Islam's "tolerance" of religious minorities--a myth that is contra- dicted by Islam's teaching, history, and present reality. Islam does not recognize a distinction between temporal and divine authority; the only "legitimate" government for Islam is a theocracy.
Saudi Arabia is supposed to be our "ally," but it is, to this day, the most intolerant Islamic regime in the world, where the practice of any other religion is as strictly prohibited as in Mohammed's day. Remember the missionary women the Taliban imprisoned and, before the war rescued the women, were going to be executed for simply having a Bible in the home of an Islamic? The same has happened in Saudi Arabia and didn't make the international news.
In 1991, the U. S. House of Representatives invited an Islamic Imam to deliver a Mus- lim prayer in the House. This same man declared in 1997 that Muslims would eventu- ally elect the U.S. President and would replace America's constitutional democratic government with an Islamic caliphate. This is what Islam has in mind for you. Will you believe their lies and allow it?
I'm not saying that you should go out and do violence to any Islamic you see. Far from it. But I am saying you should not believe the lies you're told about Islam--lies designed to lull you into a false sense of security. Islam wants to rule you absolutely and force you to practice their religion at the point of a gun. Do you want that?
